Project Overview:
Silicon carbide (SiC) is made by using quartz sand, petroleum coke (or coal char), and wood chips as raw materials through high-temperature smelting in an electric resistance furnace. Silicon carbide is also a rare mineral in nature, Moissanite. Silicon carbide is also known as carbon silica. Among the non-oxide high-tech refractory raw materials such as C, N and B, silicon carbide is the most widely used and economical one. It can be called gold steel sand or refractory sand. At present, China's industrial production of silicon carbide is divided into black silicon carbide and green silicon carbide, both hexagonal crystals, specific gravity of 3.20 ~ 3.25, microhardness of 2840 ~ 3320kg / mm2.

Equipment overview:
The silicon carbide drying production line is a new type of high-efficiency fluidized drying equipment developed by our company to overcome the static drying inefficiency and high consumption. In the design process, the machine fully combines the characteristics of flow drying such as airflow drying, and enhances the strength and avoids shortness, so that the whole machine has reasonable process structure and superior performance, realizing the low consumption and high efficiency of fluidized drying.

The machine is widely used in drying of fine powder materials such as silicon carbide, black silicon carbide, green carbon silicon, black carbon silicon micro powder, green silicon carbide micro powder, foam ceramic silicon carbide, refractory silicon carbide and the like. The device has high thermal efficiency, low energy consumption, small floor space, simple configuration and convenient operation and control.

working principle:
The hot air enters the stirring and pulverizing drying chamber from the bottom of the dryer at the appropriate spouting speed by the air inlet, and the material is strongly sheared, blown and rotated, so that the material is atomized by centrifugation, shearing, collision and friction. Enhanced mass transfer heat transfer. At the bottom of the dryer, the larger wet pellets are mechanically broken under the action of the agitator. The particles with lower moisture content and smaller particle size are entrained by the rotating gas stream and further dried during the ascending process due to the gas-solid phase. For the rotary flow, the solid phase inertia is greater than the gas phase, and the relative velocity between the solid and gas phases is large, and the heat transfer effect between the two phases is enhanced, so the machine has high drying strength.
